DSJR it does sound like it is set for MM as because the circuit is load rejecting it works perfectly well with MC with the MM 47kohm load resistor, just very low gain obviously. The interesting thing is Dave (MCRU) bought this unit in December so if not noticed as MM it means it hasn't been switched...
