Re: Fane 12-250TC Retro Speaker.
No problem I had realised that. I just wondered why the resident amp (one of them) wasn't mentioned at all, it just seemed strange.

Re: Fane 12-250TC Retro Speaker.
I thought the NVA circuit amp and the A20 were supposed to be in the listening mix yet no one has mentioned it. If you liked it or hated it I really couldn't give shit. I just like the truth not what seems like hidden agendas. Or am I being paranoid.

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
Sorry I cannot agree, having found active crossovers that fry my amps because they were unstable, and other signal processors doing the same thing I baulk at anything but the final recorded music going into my amps. AND yes a lot of this stuff has been used to create that music but the instability a...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
My speaker projects don't half seem to cause controversy. I often wonder why that is? I seem to be the only person that gets this kind of attention. Doesn't bother bother me anymore, so don't stop, because it makes entertaining reading, but it would be interesting for me, to know what it actually i...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
Gents, this thread is in peril of being derailed, as too many have before it. You've had spats before, and neither of you will say anything new that might change the views of the other. The "ignore" function works very well on this forum, and I'd recommend its use. I'm hoping to go and ha...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
AND for the fourth time I am not discussing with you I am talking about you and your ideas on a public thread on a public forum. You have presented them in this thread, so made them on topic. I have just been trying to understand the reasoning behind them when all Steve wants to do is create a speak...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
You are weird - this is a public forum, I am not talking TO you I am talking ABOUT you. Are such an egotist that you think you are the only one here. Only you and Steve are allowed to post and I am just an interruption.

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
So how did Steve make that decision, by applying your bullshit or making an empirical logical decision, and then using his ears listening to music.Scottmoose wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 12:01 pm Right, which in turn affects how they reproduce the signal fed to them. Or to put it another way, 'how they sound'.

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
Will you discuss it with Steve, he is quite capable of putting my points, and his own, about using music to design and using music to describe.

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
Steve talks about music, he has explained *with music ref* what his speakers are about and what they do. He has done it here and at HFS and has gained a lot of respect because of it. If he can do it why can't you, I still haven't got a clue how what you said refers to music, it is just gobble de goo...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
What has that load of bollocks got to do with music? When I'm addressing you, you'll know it. I was chatting with my friend Steve. If you wish to write personal abuse at me, please do so elsewhere and do not disrupt Steve's interesting project thread. So this is not a public forum, if you wish your...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker
An interesting driver indeed. Assuming no damping, a 0.707 Qtc Butterworth alignment (lowest possible F3, aka maximally flat) is roughly 9,800 litres or 346 cubic feet assuming a simple sealed box without damping. With average damping, that will drop of course; about 9,100 litres or 321 cubic feet ...

Re: Owston 2018 - What Are You Bringing?
I will come just for the Saturday.
If I come by train (likely) I will bring a miniBMU so it can be passed around the systems if wanted. If by car then a large BMU and a phono stage if anyone has a good one there to bake-off against. And some Statement cables.

What the feck you on about, HFF is not HFS, it is suspected that its admin is a HFS member but not confirmed. It has absolutely nothing to do with me and I am even one of the targets. I think we can take the suspected out of the sentence...site is owned by Paul Tiernan whose address contains the ph...

Re: HiFi Foo Fight
I think its best to leave the 5 or 6 regular posters on HFS to play in their own little club, luckily no one really takes any notice of what they type so leave them to it. A visit to the doctors would do most of them a world of good. Although thinking about it some are beyond help. :D What the feck...
